An Advent Calendar is a special calendar that counts the days to remind us that Christmas is approaching. This year we are counting down by sharing Practices for that might benefit you as Agile coach, Scrum master or Agile practitioner. Today’s tip is:
Tip 10: Spent time on training.
Do not assume everyone is fully trained. Do not overestimate the agile knowledge team members have. Their work is developing not agile, so they are less focused on agile training and knowledge, than we are. I have given training to experienced agile developers that didn’t know the agile manifesto. I have met colleagues that just started as a PO or SM, without getting proper training. Be aware that although the organization might have started a transition with training everyone, but some people stepped in later and might not have had the same introduction. Good training and workshops help the teams understand what is expected from them.
