01 dec Agile Advent Calendar 2020 – 6 December

An Advent Calendar is a special calendar that counts the days to reminded us that Christmas is approaching. Originating from Germany in the late 19th century the advents calendars offer a sweet, little piece of chocolate or another treat each day when one of the 24 shutters are opened.
With the end of the year approaching fast, I would like to countdown the days until Christmas with you together. I assembled 24 Practices for that might benefit you as Agile coach, Scrum master or Agile practitioner. Join me in this online countdown. To heighten your sense of expectation we share one Tip every day.

Tip 6: Don’t fix problems that are not there.
Like stated in the quote ‘don’t fix what ain’t broken”, do not spent effort on improving things that do not result in pain or problems. Especially not when the team is not yet understanding or seeing the problem. Make small and simple improvements and trust that when the team grows in maturity the problem will surface and be understood. That is the best time to take it on. It will save you from wasting time on improving and explaining an abstract problem.
