Squerist Agile Advent Calender

Agile Advent Calendar 2020 – 9 December

An Advent Calendar is a special calendar that counts the days to reminded us that Christmas is approaching. Originating from Germany in the late 19th century the advents calendars offer a sweet, little piece of chocolate or another treat each day when one of the 24 shutters are opened.
With the end of the year approaching fast, I would like to countdown the days until Christmas with you together. I assembled 24 Practices for that might benefit you as Agile coach, Scrum master or Agile practitioner. Join me in this online countdown. To heighten your sense of expectation we share one Tip every day.

Tip 9: Remember things are like they are for a reason.
When entering a new organization or engaging with a new team I am often surprised by what I see. There are often flaws in the way of working and sometimes I see things that are not in line with the agile textbook or mind-set. I thrust you experience the same. But, do not judge, there is most likely a valid reason for the things to be like they are. Learn to understand them before you make improvements.
