The rapid evolution of Agile methodology has provided us with new ways to create, build and test software. When Squerist conducts Agile Testing -or as we like to call it: Modern Testing- we like to work with small and multifunctional teams in order to ensure that testing is done properly. For us, this means that both developers, designers, users, and testers work closely together in one team with one common goal. Furthermore, we work in small steps or iterations. Every few weeks a piece of software is delivered that can be used directly in production. The advantage of Agile Testing is that something can be delivered and tested very quickly. However, this does mean that the same system will be tested more often. Consequently, we are aware of the growing importance and necessity for Test Automation in Agile Testing.
Agile stands for flexibility, therefore, flexibility is essential when we employ Agile Testing methods. Our Testers are flexible and multi disciplined. As a result, our Agile Testers can be a great addition to any Agile team.

Our approach
In our work approach we work as follows: Firstly, we define the goals of the team and the organisation in order towards achieving this goal. In the second phase, we see if we can implement this independently, or if we need help with that. This is called a stakeholder analysis. In Agile Testing, we see that transparency within a team, between teams and with the end-user is the main key to achieving the goals that are set. During the delivery process, we maintain constant feedback loops with the stakeholder in order to re-establish on a continuous basis whether the activities we employ are fit for purpose. Transparency and constant adjustment are very important in order for us to achieve success and progress for our clients.

Preparation and Execution
Squerist has vast experience in preparing and executing test strategies in Agile/DevOps environments as well as the more traditional ones.
Furthermore, we are also able to provide reporting on testing. Lastly, our people are able to provide support within the aforementioned activities. While carrying out the testing process, there is always the possibility to look for solutions within Test Automation. All of our testers are ISTQB certified and have extensive experience in various industries.
Test Management
In addition to setting up, coordinating, and executing tests, our people have a great deal of experience in monitoring the testing process across teams and departments in an organisation.
Our extensive experience at various organisations demonstrates that Squerist is able to find suitable solutions that fit your organisation. Test Management can be organised in line with international standards or in accordance with the principles of Agile and Scrum. In larger organisations that apply Agile, Squerist generally applies the role of Quality Owner.
Test Process Optimisation
With Test Process Optimization, Squerist ensures that efficiency, effectiveness, and the maturity of Testing is ensured.
Squerist assists organisations by using internationally recognised measuring methods such as TMMi. Moreover, we have developed our own optimisation that is referred to as the Test Role Optimisation Model (TROM). TROM is particularly useful in Agile organisations as it measures Test Maturity and Optimisation by focussing on the testing roles. Every test process optimization process starts by us conducting a quick scan or an assessment after which we provide your organisation with results and recommendations. Naturally, Squerist can implement these recommendations with you.

Scrum masters en Product Owners
Goede Scrum masters en Product Owners zijn een randvoorwaarde om teams te laten vliegen. Onze Scrum masters en Product Owners springen graag in en geven het voorbeeld. We gaan graag een lange termijn relatie aan, maar vinden het belangrijk om onszelf overbodig te maken. Kennisoverdracht is belangrijk zodat jouw organisatie leert om zelfstandig te werken.
Onze Scrum masters hebben een intrinsieke drive om teams en organisatie verder te helpen. Ze zetten zich in om Agile zichtbaar en begrepen te maken. Zorg ervoor dat alle betrokkenen zich committeren aan de Agile werkwijze. Maar, Agile is geen doel op zich, daarom stimuleren ze het team om continu te verbeteren en helpen ze actief mee om de waarde stroom te optimaliseren. Daarnaast kijken ze kritisch naar de organisatie en zijn ambassadeur van de verandering. Product Owners hebben de belangrijke taak om een vertaalslag te maken van wat er in de markt gebeurt naar systeem verbeteringen. Ze staan op de brug tussen business en IT en verbinden beide disciplines. Hun inzet, het team helpen om oplossingen met waarde te creëren, te zorgen dat dit tijdig wordt opgeleverd met de juiste kwaliteit. Onze Product Owner rol ad-interim in en dragen de taken over naar een Product Owner vanuit de eigen organisatie. Op die manier dragen ze bij aan een duurzame werkwijze.
Scans en advies
Organisaties die op een Agile manier werken, merken vaak dat het nog niet optimaal loopt, zonder dat duidelijk is wat precies de oorzaken hiervan zijn. Onze specialisten nemen jouw organisatie systematisch onder de loep en geven advies over welke verbeteringen in jouw context impact maken. Denk hierbij aan onderdelen als Business agility en teamdynamiek, maar ook aan de werking van de Definition of Done en tooling dilemma’s.
